Anyone in the GTA can use myGTA.ca — whether you're looking for services, posting listings, hiring staff, or promoting your business to local customers.

Browsing and searching listings is completely free. Some listing types or premium features (such as featured placements or advanced business tools) may have associated fees.

Listings & Categories

myGTA.ca includes 8 main listing categories:

  • Education

Yes. You can create listings in different categories from the same account. For example, a business could post under both Businesses & Places and Services.

Pick the category that best describes your listing:

  • Property for sale or rent → Real Estate
  • Hiring staff → Jobs
  • Offering a local service → Services
  • Health or fitness related → Wellness
  • Courses or tutoring → Education

Account & Registration

Yes, you must create a free account to post and manage listings. Browsing and searching is available to everyone without an account.

Click Sign Up on the homepage or any listing page, enter your details, and follow the on-screen registration steps. It only takes a minute.

Yes. You can update your profile information, contact details, and preferences anytime from your account dashboard.

Posting Listings

  1. Log into your account
  2. Click Add Listing
  3. Select a category
  4. Fill in all required details (title, description, location, photos)
  5. Choose a plan if prompted
  6. Click Publish

Yes. Go to your dashboard, find the listing, and click Edit. Changes are saved and reflected immediately.

Listings remain active based on the plan you selected, or until you manually remove them. You will be notified before your listing expires.

Can I delete my listing?

Yes. From your dashboard, select the listing and click Delete. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Payments & Pricing

Some categories, premium placements, and extended listing durations may require payment. Free listing options are available for standard postings.

Yes. All transactions on myGTA.ca are processed through industry-standard secure payment gateways with SSL encryption. We do not store your full card details.

Each listing includes direct contact options such as direct messages, phone number, email address, and an on-page contact form. Choose whichever method works best for you

No. myGTA.ca is a discovery and connection platform. Transactions, agreements, and payments between users and listing owners are handled directly and independently.

myGTA.ca encourages safe communication, but users should always exercise caution. We recommend verifying details, avoiding suspicious requests, and meeting in safe, public locations when applicable.

Yes. Every listing has a Report option. Our moderation team reviews all reports and takes action on listings that violate our guidelines

Report the listing immediately using the Report button, then contact our support team. If you have suffered financial loss, please also contact your local authorities or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501

Absolutely. Businesses can create dedicated listings under Businesses & Places or Services, promote their offerings, and reach GTA customers actively searching for what they offer.

Yes. Featured listings appear prominently in search results and category pages, significantly increasing your visibility. Check your dashboard or contact us for featured listing options.

Yes. Your dashboard lets you view, edit, and manage all your listings in one place — ideal for businesses maintaining multiple service or location listings.
